I upgraded to Ubuntu 21.10 and Anki simply shows a blank screen. When I start Anki from a terminal, I get this error message: Qt info: Warning: Ignoring XDG\_SESSION\_TYPE=wayland on Gnome. Use QT\_QPA\_PLATFORM=wayland to run on Wayland anyway. I tried setting this variable, I tried other variables that other posts encouraged me to try, I reinstalled, I tried logging out and back in without Wayland, I tried it all with and without hardware acceleration. And, today, something in Ubuntu 21.10 seems to have updated and now Anki is again working without this workaround. Thank you for your work on this great program! ---

Looks like they decided to revert the breakage for now: [Comment #36 : Bug #1944468 : Bugs : glibc package : Ubuntu](https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/glibc/+bug/1944468/comments/36) Hopefully we’ll have a new toolkit version available by the time they introduce it again ---
