# Appearance (Blue/Grey) of Editor Formatting Buttons Occasionally Misleading

If I type text formatted as bold/italic/underline, then delete this text so the B/I/U buttons are no longer blue, indicating the formatting has been lost, then type more text, the formatting will be regained, which is unexpected.

The B/I/U buttons should remain blue when my cursor is just after “This is some " in the video above, or go grey as they do now but not re-apply the styling when more text (” text I didn’t think would be bold.") is typed.
