# App Bar at bottom instead of top

Not sure who else has experiencing this but with the App bar currently being at the top, it really not much of a convenience if you have to reach buttons often.

Any attempts in bringing the bar down (closer to the reach of the thumb/finger) in future versions would be very helpful I believe.

I think this would look ugly. Can you give examples of other app that does this?

Well not a similar app but in firefox the address bar got pushed to the bottom instead it usual place at the top (as in chrome).

I think it would be useful to have this feature in AnkiMobile as well, recently iPhones have larger display sizes, so Safari and Chrome have the function to put the bar bottom.

I would agree if there were functions that you often use.

I usually see two situations in mobile apps:

1. The panel is located at the bottom, you can see this in almost all browsers.
2. The tabs are placed on top, but the application allows you to switch between them using gestures. This can be observed in Telegram.

I think the overflow menu would look weird at the bottom. Those options are in the menu in the first place because you don’t use them often.

I like Telegram’s UI. I think we can actually implement a similar thing, where swiping from DeckPicker screen can move users to other screens. The pencil icon in Telegram hides away when you scroll through your chats. That can be done for the + icon in AnkiDroid.
