[Answered] Custom review session oddity

I created a custom review session for one of my desks and almost all my cards show the same schedule on the answer buttons.

Why is that?

  • What are the Options of your Filtered deck?
  • Is reschedule-based-on disabled?
  • Are the cards that match your filter all similarly situated?
  • Are you studying close to your next-day-starts time with long learning/relearning step delays?

You don’t sync with AnkiWeb, so I can’t look at your collection for you.

So far, we only know that the cards are potentially overdue, but it matters a lot what state the cards are in. Give us a screenshot of the Card Info for one of these cards, include the top section and the revlog (but not the graph). [Since you’re on a small screen – you’ll need to turn it to landscape to get all the columns in the revlog section.]

Since reschedule-based-on is enabled, the cards are following their ordinary deck Options for scheduling, so include screenshots of that with your steps, FSRS, Advanced (if you’ve modified anything there) – and your FSRS parameters as text.

I’ve found an explanation in the deck options, Advanced paragraph:

Maximum interval

The maximum number of days a review card will wait. When reviews have reached the limit, Hard, Good and Easy will all give the same delay.

I should have taken a look before asking. Sorry for that.

Yes, if you set your maximum interval to 1d, all kinds of things would go wrong.
