When trying to create Image Occlusion cards in the new beta version, adding an image immediately triggers a “TypeError: Load failed” error.
After dismissing the error we can continue creating the Image Occlusion card. However, the last few buttons in the horizontal toolbar of the Image Occlusion Editor are inaccessible.
The toolbar cannot be horizontally scrolled, so there is no way to reach those buttons in portrait mode.
The only way to access the last few buttons is to rotate the phone to landscape orientation.
It’s not letting me add screen recording. It says new users can’t upload attachments..
I’m able to reproduce that in the beta [on iOS 26.6], using the default Image Occlusion note type. I believe that’s usually is JavaScript related, so it’s fine to clear that and move on. The devs can take a look.
I’m able to reproduce that also – but is this new as of this beta release? Can you try switching back to the current release and see how the same bar is displayed?
The IO editor should be made more robust to deal with narrower screens, but the workaround of rotating to landscape will get you past this for now.
No problem. Your description was clear and these issues aren’t happening in-motion, so I don’t think we need that.
This issue, where we cannot scroll the horizontal toolbar in the IO Editor, occurs in versions 26.10 and 26.09.
However, in the previous version, 25.09, the horizontal toolbar works as expected and can be scrolled even when the phone is held normally in portrait mode.
Hello! The editor toolbar scroll fix is coming shortly! Just merged to main with a couple other small fixes, I’ll create a new beta release either today / tomorrow. I’ll repro and make a ticket for the JS error. Thanks for the report!
