Now my anki size measures 3.6Gb. what all measures I shud take to keep my anki size to a minimum. Above what size the anki starts lagging.. I use MacBook Pro with 24GB Ram.
If this includes media, this is likely not the reason for lagging. I would check extensions first by disabling and enabling them one by one.
no no.. it has not started lagging.. just wana know. Like a limit to ↓ my waste notes mentally & delete unnecessary ones.. Like a thing I shud be aware of..
You should only keep notes that can be learned in a lifetime. Some users import many decks with ten thousands of cards they will never study, putting unnecessary strain on the servers.
It should be fine for multiple thousands of cards, potentially even tens of thousands of cards.
I did import (as an experiment) multiple 100.000 cards into anki. The browse window was unusable with this many cards (due to lagging). But to be fair, you likely won’t reach this kind of amount anyways.
