# Anki not starting on Linux (Segmentation fault) - Solution: qt5 worked!

When I try to start anki from the terminal, I get this error:

Qt warning: QGuiApplication::setDesktopFileName: the specified desktop file name ends with .desktop. For compatibility reasons, the .desktop suffix will be removed. Please specify a desktop file name without .desktop suffix  
Qt debug: doh set to “” – SystemOnly  
Starting main loop…

Which Linux distro are you on?

Which version is your Anki? [Latest](https://apps.ankiweb.net/) is 23.12.1

I have ubuntu 22.04 and my anki is the latest
