Anki 24.10/11 Release candidate

Are you u/ClarityInMadness over there?

Did somebody do something? It’s updated now.

It probably was a cache issue.

I did my first review just now and my Again button assigned a 4 day interval… this is gonna take some getting used to.

Anyone else experiencing that? The Again button is giving multi-day intervals and no cards are going into the “Learning” status.

Edit: Ok, I see this on the reddit thread:

Note that just because FSRS-5 can give you <1d intervals doesn’t necessarily mean that it will . Your “Again” interval can be 1d or even longer.

So will cards get assigned to the “learn” status only if they’re interval is less than 1d, or does it just not even assign that status at all anymore?

Not sure if this is the right place for this. I upgraded to 24.11 in linux. It seems to have broken the keyboard shortcut ctrl+enter (adding new card).

I reverted to 24.06.3 and it is working again.

Only cards with <1d intervals are in the “learning” stage.

It’s not very common for FSRS to do that, even with default params. No idea why though.

Exactly what it was.

I noticed that if I

  1. export my deck as .apkg including scheduling info, media and presets,
  2. then switch user profile (to a newly created profile “test”)
  3. and then import (Ctrl+Shift+i)

FSRS for this deck is turned off, even though it was turned on before. All other FSRS related data is there though (like my params) and only the toggle has to be turned on again.

Is that intended behavior?

Probably because it’s a global option.

Though I don’t know if it is a known issue, it seems to me that there is a problem with the buttons being completely hidden when starting review with the window small size. (Buttons does not redisplay when I click on the reviewer.) If the window is large this problem does not occur. (and I am not using the preference to hide the buttons.)

I am on AnkiDroid 2.20.00 Dec 4 (anki 24.11 / c47638ca) (FSRS 1.4.3). AnkiDroid on Android/ChromeOS is not syncing with AnkiWeb. Works fine on Android. When try to login on Chrome I get the error “A network error occurred. Error sending request for url.” Is anyone else seeing this?

This isn’t the right place to report that, since it’s not related to the new release. There were some data-center issues today, but that should be cleared up by now. If you’re still having issues – start with the FAQs about connection issues: Error establishing a secure connection when syncing - Anki FAQs . If that doesn’t help, you can post in Help - Anki Forums .
