I have a lot of test note types, note types from other imported decks, and note types that I actually use.

It would be nice if there was an option to “pin” the note types I actually use, and if I wanted to use a notetype I didn’t use often, I could access them through some “Show more note types” option.

This could also happen automatically; the top 5 note types that you actually use are shown at the top etc.

Other people probably have a lot more note types.

> Hi, I’ve always noted that note type come in translated names and I consider that bad. Recently thought I also noticed variants as in this picture: I’d like to now why that happens and how to limit it. That also happens on note types that I created programmatically in an addon (Fleex) and when I decided to add a field I realized there where at least 3 identical variants of my note. How can I avoid having this mess? Thanks in advance for your help sandro

This is a good idea. If you need a temporary workaround for this until this gets implemented (if it does), maybe you could add characters like “!” to move some notetypes to the top and a “~” to move some notetypes to the bottom. (P.S., you’ll have to remember this for searches as well)

For some addons like cloze overlapper, you cannot rename the notetype without breaking the addon. Otherwise this is a good kludge.
