# Account too new to upload add-on

Hello,

From reading other posts, I can see y’all don’t release all the rules for new accounts to be able to upload Add Ons. I just released a new one: [https://github.com/marzvrover/anki-hsk-deck-builder](https://github.com/marzvrover/anki-hsk-deck-builder) that I would like to share. I, however, use Anki with the sync server so didn’t create an account on AnkiWeb until today, and I don’t really plan on using it besides for sharing any add-ons I make. I would like to request an exception to be able to share my add-on more widely with the community if possible.

Using self hosted servers is very rare and almost unsupported, and since the malware posting issue on AnkiWeb last year, restrictions on add-ons have become stricter, so I think there’s probably no support for that. (I’m not related to the official Anki or mods, so I don’t know exactly.)

Unfortunately, bad actors have created a situation where we can’t help you with this. We have to prioritize the safety of users – and of the sharing and syncing platform itself – over the liberal distribution of add-ons, so we aren’t making exceptions.
