# Account data deleted after 6 months inactivity – any server backup left?

Hello,

My AnkiWeb account data was deleted because I didn’t log in for over 6 months. I know this is the official policy, so I understand it’s my fault.

The problem is: my computer is broken and I cannot access the Anki desktop app. On my phone (iPhone), I only used AnkiWeb through the browser, because the official iOS app is paid and I don’t have it.

That means I never had a local copy of my decks on any device, everything was only on AnkiWeb. Now my decks and study progress are gone.

Is there any chance that an old server-side backup of my account still exists? If so, could you please restore it to my account?

I’m sorry to tell you, but there isn’t anything to restore. The data was removed in Jan 2026 – the only backup still in the account is from Feb 2026, and it’s empty.
