409 Client error (Too Many Requests)

Good day. I encountered a 409 error (Too Many Requests) while attempting to download a batch Google image. This issue did not occur previously, as everything was functioning fine the other day.

I’ve already checked my internet connection, which is stable, and confirmed that my PC has sufficient storage space. Could you kindly advise if there’s a fix or workaround for this issue?

That means the server you’re connecting to (google) rejected your connection because there were too many requests coming from your IP.

Yes. You have to wait some time and the servers should allow connections from you again. Might be minutes, or hours or even longer, really depends.

Maybe consider downloading your images to your local device instead of pulling them from 3rd party servers that could rate limit you. That way you always have the material you want to learn (and obviously it works offline, uses less data ect).

Consider switching to Custom Search JSON API…

Custom Search JSON API provides 100 search queries per day for free. If you need more, you may sign up for billing in the API Console. Additional requests cost $5 per 1000 queries, up to 10k queries per day.

…and use this add-on instead.
