24.04.1 Crash on Log-in

Using Pop!OS, installed the 24.04.1 version on via the installation guide and it was sucessful, but the application crashes when trying to login with “Segmentation fault (core dumped)” on the terminal.

I booted into Windows and the problem happened there too.

I came across the solution in another thread on the forum that by pressing enter multiple times when logging in and it worked on Pop!OS without issue (still to try it on the windows install).

I’m reporting it because both in the thread and in the release notes it’s mentioned this has been fixed on 24.04.1 but it still happened to me.

That’s unexpected - thanks for letting us know. I don’t recall any other users reporting this problem with 24.04.1, but will keep an eye out for more reports.
